Meet The People Behind C4
Carlo Le Brun
Founder, CEO & Sales DirectorCarlo built his career from the ground up — starting at Nedbank, then becoming one of Sanlam's youngest financial planners and a multi-Aviator Award winner at Old Mutual. He moved into fire and security at Tyco, was headhunted by Fast Fire & Security where he rose to top salesperson and co-owner, and then founded C4. He leads every major project with the same principle that made him successful in finance: know your product inside out, and always put the client first. Under his leadership, C4 secured SAQCC, BSI and FDIA accreditations.
Chantal Le Brun
Finance & AdministrationChantal manages C4's financial operations and administration, bringing over 20 years of financial management experience from government level into the private sector. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures smooth operations, accurate documentation, and that every project runs on schedule and within budget. She is the financial backbone that keeps C4 running efficiently.
Jermaine Thompson
Team Leader & Project CoordinatorJermaine has been in fire detection since 2008 — starting as an Assistant Fire Technician, progressing to critical-infrastructure work at Cape Town International Airport by 2010, and earning his SAQCC accreditation at SSC on major commercial projects. He first worked under Carlo at Fast Fire, specialising in large aspirating detection installations in cold storage facilities, and joined C4 from its inception. Today he runs the technician team, coordinates project managers and moderates every C4 site — nothing gets signed off until it is genuinely compliant and genuinely safe.
Bruce
Project ManagerBruce has spent over two decades delivering fire protection and integrated security across commercial, industrial, and residential estate environments. He started as a Field Technician at Provicom in 1997 and progressed through senior roles at Chubb Integrated Services, Secutron, and Starcomms — where he served as Divisional Head leading complex projects at scale. At C4 he oversees end-to-end project delivery aligned to SANS 1475 and SANS 1039, combining strategic oversight with hands-on technical expertise to deliver solutions built to endure.
Chris Evert
Fire Detection ConsultantChris entered the fire industry in 2013 and quickly found his passion — not just selling systems, but believing in the work. In 2016 he was brought in to open a Cape Town office for a Gauteng-based group, then specialised in fire detection from 2018, ran his own consultancy, and headed up the fire division for a global company. At C4 he covers fire detection, equipment, sprinklers, access control, CCTV, signage and fire doors — everything under SANS 10400 Section T — with a no-nonsense focus on what is legally required versus nice-to-have.
Leroy Miller
Senior Sales ConsultantWith over 20 years of sales experience and more than 11 years in the fire detection and life safety industry, Leroy brings real-world expertise and deep technical understanding to every client interaction. Working his way up from entry-level roles through respected companies like Alert Engine Parts, FS Systems, Integretek, and Fast Fire, he built a career on consistency, strong relationships, and delivering practical fire detection solutions that protect both people and property.
Morne
Sales RepresentativeMorne's journey in fire protection started in 2011 as a trainee technician at Bayteck Fire, and he became a registered fire technician in 2012. In 2020 he joined East Rand Fire as a Senior Technician, opening and establishing their Cape Town branch. He met Carlo Le Brun on site in 2022 and joined C4 as Sales Representative in 2023. Today he combines 13+ years of technical experience with a client-focused approach, offering practical, honest advice on servicing and pressure testing to SANS standards.
